Our not so little girl
Audrey had her 6 month checkup yesterday. First of all- 6 MONTHS!!!! Where has the time gone???? She is growing up WAY too fast! We say a new doctor- so happy to make the change- was pleasantly surprised by the entire practice. Our "little" Audrey is now a whopping 17 lbs 13 oz. Just 5 ounces shy of what Mara weighted in on her FIRST birthday! I guess that is why Audrey wears size 12months now.
Here are some of Audrey's accomplishments:
-rolls everywhere
-giggles- she is very ticklish
-plays peek-a-boo
-eats books
-chews on everything, still no teeth
-now only takes her paci when she is going to sleep
-drinks from a sippy cup
-doesn't really like baby food
-has inherited my awful skin- eczema, rashes, etc (thanks Dad!)
-loves music-favorite song is I am Trying to be Like Jesus
-likes to be held a least once in the middle of night
-is just a sweet tempered, chubby, snuggly little ball of goodness.

These are the moments....
I often wonder if I am doing any good with my kids. If they listen to anything I say- I just had a wonderful moment that let me know they actual listen sometimes. I was in the kitchen working on dinner while Wyatt was in the hallway putting together a puzzle. I hear him talking to himself and I stop to listen. This is what I hear, "I CAN do hard things. I CAN do hard things. I CAN do hard things!" My heart is touched and my eyes sting with tears. And then, "YES!!! I did it! I knew I could do hard things!" I am overjoyed.

Balance
It is time I found some balance in my life. I have struggled with finding a balance of all the essential and good things for a very long time, but now I am determined to get my act together. SO, I may not post as often. I may not email as much. I will have my computer off more often. I will be at the park with my kids more. We will be reading books together more. I will be cuddling with my chubby baby a bit more. I will be talking with my hubby more. I will be cooking good, healthy foods more. I will be writing more letters and reading more scriptures. I will renew friendships and create new memories. I will be anxiously engaged in a good cause. I will sleep more, eat less (well, maybe not), enjoy the ride more often and complain about the bumps less frequently. Thank you for all those wonderful women in my life who have inspired me to be better!
