Christmas

This year we had a fun addition to our Christmas Eve and Christmas day celebrations- Grandma and Grandpa!  My parents drove down to spend the holiday with us.  It was so fun to have them here.  We tried to go see Santa at the Bass Pro Shop, but the line was over an hour wait and that didn't sound like a good idea with 3 little ones.  We did get to see the mermaid swimming in the Silverton aquarium and were amazed at the winter scene at the Bellagio.  My mom got to eat her first In-N-Out burger.  We kept with the Delozier family tradition and had pizza for dinner on Christmas eve, opened pajamas (Nate surprised me with a very soft and comfy robe), and read of Christ's birth from the book of Luke- this year, our reader was Mara:).

 Bellagio
 Like my Christmas jammies?
All ready for bed- can't wait for Santa
Grandma helping Wyatt with his new Lego firetruck instructions and sporting his new hat.
Nate and his new hat- i can't believe all that hair fits under there!
 Some of his new Legos
a very tired but happy set of Grandparents
Thanks for getting up so early!
Mara's favorite gift- a palomino horse to groom.  She named her Sunny after my mom's horse she had as a teenager.  When we asked Mara what she was going to name the horse she said, "Sunny," and without missing a beat Wyatt sings out Sunny 106.5! (the radio station we have listened to all December.)
Dre now has 2 baby dolls and they go everywhere with her.
Mara wanted a picture with the purple horse

The kids had a rough time going to sleep- I thought this would mean that they wouldn't wake up TOO early, but I was wrong, very wrong.  I stayed up late finishing gifts and filling stockings.  I was woken up at 3:25 by Wyatt.  He was all ready to open presents.  I got him to be quiet and lay down until 4:30.  He then asked to turn on the tree lights.  I said okay if you will lay on the couch until everyone else is up.  So I turned on the lights and within minutes, Mara is up and two minutes later, Audrey wakes up!  WHAT?!?! it is 4:30 in the morning!  I let them open their stockings and see what Santa brought.  I tried, in vain, to keep them quiet for awhile.  By 5:15 they have woken up Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa.  So we open gifts and dad, grandma, and grandpa go back to sleep for a few hours.

The rest of the day was playing with new toys, games, eating, resting, and just being together.  It was wonderful.  Maybe next year we will open all the presents on Christmas Eve so we can get some sleep!

To blog or not to blog- that is the question

I really struggle to find the time to do everything- especially blogging.  There just aren't enough hours in the day to do everything and so many things get pushed to the back of my mind or just get left undone completely.  There are so many good things out there but what is truly essential????  Blogging is one of those I am on the fence about- anyway, posts from here on out may be a little sporadic umtil I figure things out.

Utah trip

Here are some pictures from our fantastic trip to Utah.  My sister, Carly, took most of the pictures.  Some how we didn't get pictures of my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  It was a fun trip and I am so thankful to Nate for taking work off and taking us to see some family.
