pony rides and random pictures

Mara finally rode a pony! Once we got to the farm she got nervous and had to be talked into riding a pony. Once she did it, she couldn't get enough. She rode all three ponies several times. She will forever have fond memories of Dolly, Patches, and Betsy.
Wyatt was mad that Grandpa and Grandma had to leave, but Grandma promised to bring more tootsie rolls next time they come and that seemed to satisfy Wyatt.
Wyatt took this picture of Audrey with his (actually Nate's) hat on.

Even Audrey went for a ride. She kept trying to chew on the saddle horn. YUM!
Our little cowboy and cowgirls
Wyatt had no problem just jumping on the first horse he saw- no fear! Here he is riding Patches.
Here is our little cowgirl (in her cowgirl boots!) riding on Dolly.

car makes

My children have become obsessed with the different makes of cars. They want to know what brand of car goes with what symbol. They have memorized them rather quickly and make sure to yell out what kind of car is driving in front of us, in back of us, as well as ALL the cars we see on the road! When we go for walks in our complex, they have to name EVERY car we pass. It is funny most of the time. I think they get these weird obsessions from their father- he doesn't know what I am talking about. (Hmm. . . let's see who makes lists of all personalized license plates they see, etc, etc.) Anywho- the funniest thing is that a few of the makes they either can't say correctly or can't remember the exact name. For example- Howdy = Audi
Mooshi Booshi =Mitsubishi
The Wagon = Volkswagen

I am so glad we drive a mooshi booshi! It cracks me up every morning on the way to school.

What is their grandpa teaching them????

My parents were here this past weekend and here are some of the things their grandpa decided to teach them- dancing the tootsie roll and playing his guitar.
