now i remember why i struggle with blogging- there isn't much to say.

this past week was spring break- we didn't do a whole lot because Dree was sick and because my knee is acting up big time (but i finally made an appt with a orthopedic for next week.)

we did finally make it out on Thursday and ended up spending 4 1/2 hours at the park.  It was great!  The kids got to run and run and run.  I was able to sit and chat with friends and enjoy watching my kids have fun.  Friday we had friends come over to play and we build lots of fun things out of Legos.

found the kids all quietly reading Sunday  morning
Mara's flip flops she fancied up with ribbons

Random Pic of Mara with her my little pony

Then some pictures of some hats i made for a client- newborn and toddler matching navy blue and red "baseball" hats- dree was helping me size the toddler one.

Saturday was an Easter egg hunt with the ward at a little park.  It was nice.  The kids had a great time and even decided to run through the water feature at the park in their clothes.  They were soaked but had a blast doing it.  Sunday was a little crazy.  I had no meetings (yea!) and was excited to have a very quiet, relaxing morning, but of course that didn't happen.  Nate's cousin called and was in town and wanted to come over for dinner.  He ended up coming to church with us (Nate did not warn him that church meant 3 hrs! Donny had never attended a LDS church service before.)  Dinner was a bit of a mess as nothing turned out the way i planned but nobody went hungry and we were together as a family!

Nate's ultrasound on his kidney's showed no stones, but the Dr wants him to have a ct scan in 6 months to get a better look.

Today the kids went back to school :)!  My friend took Dree for 3 hours and i got rest my knee and get some knitting done.  Dree and I went to the library for a couple hours and read lots of books together.

Mara taught family home evening tonight about temples.  Then we played Clue as a family and Dree picked no-bakes for treat. We are kind of addicted to them and make them several times a month.

I started reading "The Outlandish Adventures of Liberty Aimes" to the kids tonight- it think it is going to be quite enjoyable for all of us.  I finally joined pintrest and found a read aloud book list for 1st graders and 4th graders-that is where i found this book.  I am excited to read all the books to the kids!  one of the books, shadow on the mountain, we are listening to in the car.  I realized how out of it I am when it comes to modern music, we never listen to the radio- the kids LOVE listening to books on cd and we just leave them in the car and listen everywhere we go.  Everyday when i pick of the kids from school, the first thing out of their mouth is "TURN ON THE CD!" never,hi mom! How are you mom? it is just quiet! turn up the cd!  so glad they love stories.  one day they may care about me as much as listening to a good book.

well that is a lot of rambling for having nothing much to say. good-night!!!
