I feel like I have been so busy running around lately, but I can't think of what I have actually been doing. I am worn out, not remembering to take my camera anywhere, and forgetting what we have done the day before. I feel like a total slacker of a mom and wonder how do all these amazing women I know (yes, I mean all of you reading this) get everything done, look so good doing it, and have so much confidence in yourself and so much poise and patience???? All I want to do is take a nap! As I am sitting here trying to steal a few minutes ( the kids are occupied with puzzles) to update at least something on our blog I am touched by Mara singing "When Jesus Christ was Baptized" and realize that I am doing a least one thing right- I get Mara to Primary each week where she learns and grows so much. On that same note, Wyatt has been going around the house singing "Rock of Ages" which he has been learning during the practice hymn in Sacrament meeting. It is amazing what music can do to touch hearts- my kids sweet hearts and my stubborn, hard heart. I am so grateful for church music and puzzles right now that I can't help that tears our running down my sweaty. tired, and old face. Man- I REALLY need a nap today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prayer

Wyatt has been obsessed with saying the prayer lately. Every time we want to pray he just starts praying before Nate can call on someone else. He is getting very good at praying on his own. He prays for everyone and everything. The other night his prayer went like this: "Heavenly Father, Thank you for this day. Bless Mara. Bless Mom. Bless Dad. Bless me. Bless Grandma's knee to get better. Bless Grandpa to find a job. Bless me to listen. Bless aunts and uncles and. . .um,. . . Mom, what's that other word? (me: um, cousins???) Yeah, cousins. bless the cousins. Help Mara to stay in her bed. Bless dad to get home safe (he was already home.) thank you for monster spray. help us be good. name Jesus Christ.AMEN!!!"

Wyatt update

So since Wyatt's blessing, all his symptoms have disappeared. We are so grateful to have a healthy and happy boy again. His leg pain is gone, he is sleeping again, he has energy back, and he is not moaning and wanting to be held all the time. The red rash that started all of this disappeared as well. Until the other day. This time it is either a different rash or the same one but just more uniform in shape and size. Anyone know what this is? The doctors haven't been much help with it. They ran an allergy panel but nothing came up. We are trying to figure out if he is allergic to something and if so, what in the world it is. We have watched what he is eating. We have changed laundry soaps, bath soaps, and diapers and still he is getting these red spots. If anyone has any ideas what is going on here we are open for suggestions or ideas on what to do with him and his red spots. The spots have been on every part of his body but is legs and feet. Usually they are on his back and stomach. They last about an hour than disappear, then reappear somewhere else. They don't seem to bother him or itch or anything. Girls Night Out

Ladies if you live in town and read this on time, come to girls night out tonight! This is a last minute get together at my place in the clubhouse. From 8-10:30 we will eat, laugh, play, and relax. Just bring a treat and be ready for some girl time. Call me if you have any questions!

Nate is getting old

Yesterday was Nate's 30th birthday! He is not big on birthdays so we toned it down a bit. Nothing too exciting just as he requested. He loves James Bond and so the kids got him a James Bond 007 book. He also got some gift cards and a money clip he has been wanting. The cake is 009 because 9 is Nate's favorite number and our first car had personalized plates 009AGNT.

I love Nate and am so grateful for him and all he does for me. I only wish I wasn't older than him. He is a wonderful husband and father. I have truly been blessed to have this man love me and willingly stand by my side for eternity. Thank you Babe! You are my one and only! Happy Birthday!!!!!

It's a miracle!

Today we took Wyatt to the Hematologist. After three hours there we received some FABULOUS news. The ultrasound results were normal. He said that with a kid that has that high of a red blood cell count there are only two possibilities- tumor or the disease where he would have his blood taken on a regular basis. Tumor was ruled out by the ultrasound. So he retested the blood and it was not only NOT high but actually slightly low. He said the only explanation was that the other lab's machine must not have been working right, but the pediatrician said that they could rule out lab error because of the number of other tests they did on his blood at the same time and they all were normal. I know that the reason for the dramatic change in his red blood cell count was the result of all the prayers in Wyatt's behalf as well as the fasts that took place and the priesthood blessing he was given. This truly was a miracle and not just some unexplained lab error. How grateful we are for the tender mercies of our Lord and Savior. He hears our prayers. He loves us and is aware of our every need. How grateful we are for the knowledge we have of our loving Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. They are REAL. They still work miracles. They love my son even more than I ever will and they have healed his body and our hearts. Thank you for all of your prayers and support!! We love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ultrasound

Wyatt had his abdominal ultrasound this morning. It was very scary for him and he screamed the entire 20 minutes they were doing it. Thankfully, Nate was able to come. He laid on the table and held Wyatt on top of him trying to hold him still and comfort him. I had to pin down his legs and chest so the lady could do all the measurements (kidneys, spleen, and liver.) The tech did not tell us anything (they legally aren't allowed) and is sending all the information to the Hematologist. We meet with the Hematologist on Friday morning at 9:30. They will be doing lots more blood work and tests then. I think we may sedate him for that. We will update the blog if we hear anything before then. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. Wyatt

The last week as been busy with doctor appointments. We took Wyatt in to the pediatrician on Tuesday morning for leg pains and weird red bumps that he has been having off and on for the last 6-8 weeks. The Doctor was perplexed. I answered a million questions and ended up with a referral to an orthopedic specialist and a trip to the lab to get Wyatt's blood drawn. Getting Wyatt's blood taken was NOT fun, but we got enough to run all the tests and allergy panels the doctor wanted. We got into the Orthopedic guy the very next day. Xrays were NOT fun. Mara came with us which turned out to be a good thing. Wyatt legs are fine, just a little too much running and jumping on his little body along with some growing pains. The doctor wanted to look at Mara's joints to compare them to Wyatt's and in the process decided he wants to start seeing Mara. She has femoral ante version. I knew she had something wrong- she is pigeoned toed and holds her hips and back at a strange angle. They will just watch her and do measurements for the next couple of years and hopefully it will get better on its own. Friday, Wyatt's pediatrician called with the lab results. Not so good. The tests were normal except that he has too many red blood cells. The doctor called the hematologist and he said he needed to see Wyatt ASAP. Apparently they see high levels of red blood cells in people with congestive heart failure and severe breathing problems (like on breathing machines not like his little childhood asthma.) Wyatt doesn't have these problems so we are looking at some of the other possibilities. One is that he could have a tumor on his kidney so he will be having an abdominal ultrasound on Tuesday morning and then we will be meeting with the specialist to do more tests and try to figure out what is going on. Another possibility is that his body just makes too many red blood cells and to fix that he would have to have his blood drawn on a regular basis to keep the count down to avoid blot clots and he would also be on a medication the rest of his life to keep his platelet count from going too high. SO, we will let you know what is going on as we find out. We would really appreciate it if you all could remember Wyatt in your prayers. Thank you!
