Just thought I would record a few things my kids have said this week. Their comments are so random that I am still not sure where they come up with this stuff.
Me:"How would you guys like to go to story time at the mall? Afterward we get to ride the carousel."
Wyatt:"Yeah because it's Chinese!"
Mara and Me: "WHAT????"
Later that day- We were talking about hiking at Red Rock as soon as it warms up a little bit. We talked about how beautiful Red Rock is and how fun it is. And Mara says,"Good thing we don't live in India." I start laughing and ask, "What?" Mara explains that it is a good thing we don't live in India because they don't have Red Rock there.
Today- We were coming home from the library and as we were about to pull into our complex I asked who thought Dad would be home. (this is a little game we play every time we go somewhere without Nate- with his work schedule we never know when he will be home and the kids like to see who guesses right about him being home or not.) Wyatt thought he might be home and Mara said, "If he's not at home he is probably up to no good again,. . . just like Jack Frost!" I just had to laugh- my kids are crazy!!! (And yes, I know they get it from me.)

Our New Year so far
It is 19 days into 2010 and I still haven't posted anything (including Christmas.) Instead of trying to rehash it all, here are the highlights so far:
AUDREY:
-laughed yesterday- SO CUTE!
-has found her voice and LOVES to talk- even when she is eating.
-decided bottles are not for her.
-plays musical beds- today she has slept in the playroom, the kids room, and is currently in my room.
WYATT:
-gets to get his tonsils out on Feb 23
-has a bad cold
-got his head shaved and liked it at first but now says it does NOT go with his spiderman jammies or any of the clothes he likes so he will only wear his camo jammies.
-is wearing socks other than is Buzz Lightyear ones (this is HUGE- he gets to wear buzz on mondays, wednesdays and fridays, but he has to wear all socks inside out.)
MARA:
-has a cold
-is on track break and is using her time to read fairy books and make crafts to decorate the house.
-renewed her love for fancy nancy after going to a fancy nancy birthday party-she is all girl!
-being a great big sister.
-teaching us all about popcorn (they learned about it in school just before her break started.) Happy National Popcorn Day!
NATE:
-has a bad cold
-works a lot and lets me stay home with kiddos
-Enjoys his new calling of teaching Gospel Essentials
SARA:
-is actually getting some sleep
-is trying to figure out her new calling of ward music coordinator
-is enjoying a renewed scripture study schedule
-wants to figure out a time to exercise, so far every time she tries someone thinks they desperately need her to do something right that second. Oh well, one day. . .
Here are some Audrey pictures (the kids just want to take pics of her and not them-sorry!)
