This week was good. For father's day last Sunday, Mara wanted to make Nate a tie cake. So we attemped it. Mara also wanted to put two candles on the cake which she said was for "daddy's two great kids!" This was a hot week so we spent a lot of time at the pool as usual. Not so usual- Monday we found a dead lizard in the pool! This sparked Mara's interests. She wanted to know why there was a dead lizard in the pool and why lizards do everything so we searched the internet and learned a lot about lizards and ladybugs (there was a dead ladybug in the pool too.) She has told everyone she has seen this week all about the Komo Dragon Lizard-her favorite. Wyatt went under the water at the pool without his earplug and so he has been fighting an ear infection this week. He seems to be better now. Nate got to go to St. George for the day on Tuesday to do some stuff for work. I think it was a nice break from the usual work stuff. We found out my parents finally got the house they wanted in Layton and will be moving in about a month. We are excited to have them closer. Mara also had another birthday party to go to this week. She is very popular. She can't wait for her party but now that I am counting all the friends she wants to invite we may have to have two parties to accomadate all her friends! We had ceiling fans installed in the kids rooms this week. A guy from our ward is an electrician and came to do it for us. He gave us an estimate for the cost before hand. It was a good deal so we went ahead and did it. Nate was actually home when he was here and helped him out as much as he could. When we went to pay him he only charged us half of the estimate since Nate helped him! The fans have made SUCH A HUGE difference. The rooms are nice and cool now and the a/c isn't running nonstop!
